Handrail is 8 layers of splined and glued Maple. No screws or nails were exposed except for two at the first of the five miters. The gooseneck is 16 layers steamed and bent on a 3" radius form. Balusters are 1"x1" Maple, dowelled and glued to the tread and handrail.
